One will easily be convinced that truffles are very difficult of make because of the level of complexity they hold. You start by heating the cream to a boiling point, the heating can be done in a microwave and then put the chocolate in the heated cream the wait for it to cool down, the add vanilla and cover the contents, then refrigerate and wait till there is firmness in the mixture. It may take some hours for this to happen so plan prior to starting your cooking. When the mixture is firm enough, scoop using the spoon forming small balls and then roll them in the chocolate, and the put the truffles in a bowl and leave them there until they are completely chilled. Then they are ready and can be eaten.

You can try spice up the truffles by adding some nutmeg, or small quantity of chill or even some cinnamon. Instead of using the chocolate for coating, you could roll the ready truffles on some pecans or the walnuts and the almonds; these give a very authentic taste to the truffles. You can use a variety of the ingredients to get varied tastes and colors as you make truffles.
