Coconut Truffles

Do you know what truffles are and the history of truffles? The truffle is a small chocolate ball that is not hard. There are variations in truffles. Sometimes the chocolate is coated around a half walnut that is covered and coated with chocolate or coco powder.

First time the truffle was created in France in 1985 in the city of Chambery. Now, there are three kinds of chocolate delicacy available. One is the American, second is the European, and the third is the Swiss.

How do the coconut truffles are made? The coconut truffles are made with a paste of melted chocolate that is mixed with cream and butter. Real chocolate lovers appreciate the sweet chocolate with its bittersweet taste.

You can find coconut truffles in several varieties, wrapped in shiny wrappers, looking fancy, arranged in incredible boxes.

Generally, not many people make their own truffles and buy them from market but some people do make coconut truffles according to their choice and taste. Making tasty and perfect coconut truffles is not a piece of cake! This is an art for which you must have practice.

How to make tasty coconut truffles?

Following are few steps to make delicious coconut truffles:

§         Take a pan and heat the whipping cream into it at medium heat. Add butter chunks to melt in that.

§         Take a pot and fill bottom third of it with water and heat it up such that it do not boil.

§         Take a mixing bowl and put chocolate into it. Place the bowl in the pot of water.

§         Melt the chocolate till it gets smooth. Chocolate should be ready by the time cream and butter are heated.

§         Add the mixture of cream and butter to the chocolate and stir it until it all gets creamy.

§         Take a baking pan and pour the mixture into it. If you want to add a flavor, mix vanilla or any flavor of your choice. Put the pan in refrigerator for at least two hours.

§         Take out the pan.

§         Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Take flaked coconut and spread it on baking sheet and put it into oven till the coconut gets brown. Pour the toasted brown coconut in a bowl. You can also mix cappuccino in it.

§         Spoon out small chunks of the mixture from baking pan with the help of spoon.

§         Make balls of medium size or any size of your choice and roll them into toasted coconut. You can take melted chocolate and dip the balls into it and then roll them into toasted coconut later.

§         Place the balls in a plate that is lined with tissues.

§         Put them into refrigerator for few hours.

§         Creamy coconut truffle is ready to serve.
